How exactly does D3 monsterball work?

  • Do different weapons have different impact on the ball?
  • Can players push the ball with the ship?
  • Does the game keep track of who hit the ball last and awards that player extra points if he pushes the ball in a goal?
  • Is there a single goal type like in hoard, or team goales like in ctf?

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Don't think so.
4) Team goals.

That means that I will release a D2 monsterball game mode within the next 24 hours. :)

I still have to add a monsterball object to DLE-XP, but d2x-xl spawns a monsterball randomly in levels not initially containing one.

D3 does keep track of who touched the ball last (with weapon or ship). You can add bonus points to that player if you want. Might impede selflessness in teamwork tho'.

Players can score for the other team if they shoot the ball into their own goal by accident.

MD kicks the ball well
Vauss really moves it fast
Lasers are third strongest
Plasma
Micro

The flamethrower will set the ball on fire.

Missles kick it around quite a bit.

Thanks.

How many points get a player and his/her team for pushing the ball in the opponents' goal?
