Where is your goal?

Just curious as to what your overall and final goals are for D2-xl are. Like for instance, what features do you want in the engine before you finally deem it final? At what point does it become 'final' for you? Will you keep working on D2-xl indefinitely adding features upon features until D2-xl is so full to the brim we have 5000 different options to toggle, or do you have a pre-planned goal of features you want to put in before you call your project complete and move onto something else? I just want to know if you have a overall finite plan or do you just work off the cuff and just add features as they come to you? Do you see yourself finishing d2-xl one day?

If you really want Diedel's attention?

I'd post that question here.

He hangs out there more then here.
After all, it's his own forum. ;)

I've noticed that Diedel does change the D2X-XL code quite often, so I was wondering the same question.

I'd also like to know from D2X-XL players which is the most stable Win XP and single player version of the game you've come across? I just want to build a good single-player D2X-XL setup, but I've noticed that the revs keep changing to add new features or fix bugs that crop up in the previous versions. There must be a sweet spot somewhere.

Go register in the D2X-XL forum on www.descent2.de. We don't bite. :)

I suspect XL is a long way from anything that could be considered \"final\"... there are many things Diedel has wished to eventually include in terms of graphics, but they are quite time consuming to do. It may not ever really be finished...

Did you really think he was going to comment here?

I bet you'll get an answer over at his forum. ;)

yeah, if only the 'automatic' confirmation email would ever arrive. I've tried registering twice, never received that 'confirmation' email both times. What else am I to do then?

What user name(s) did you use for your registration attempts? Are you sure the e-mails didn't go to your junk folder unnoticed? That's something that uses to happen with forum registration replies.

that could be true...I usually never check my bulk folders.
