I just tried to go to http://descent2.de (also tried http://www.descent2.de) but all I get is a 404 error.

Two possibilities:

1) Diedel has run out of bandwidth for the month (he noted this might happen in the forums)
2) He is in the process of changing hosts, which would probably happen if #1 occurred anyway.

Picking #1 since it shouldn't need to go out of commission for long just to switch hosts.

#1 is the most likely, the problem.

#2 is what he is going to do.

Though I don't think #2 was going to happen right now. ;)

Anyways. His site might not be back up till Monday.

yeah this stunned me for a sec also, I did send Diedel a PM since it shocked me also.

I just hope nothing bad has happened.

And for now I'm replaying Descent 1, 2 and 3 again on my rebuilt Voodoo5 6000 retro system, the Descent series are still the best games ever created.

My traffic limit has been exceeded and my wonderful (cough) ISP hasn't even deemed it necessary to inform people trying to access the site about it with a simple page telling them so.

These jackasses do not even grant me extra bandwidth if I pay for it. :x

And they don't at least give an error message telling people what's up. Now that's customer service.

So when can we expect the transfer to be done?

Worst case would be 1st of march. I will have some new webspace at the beginning of next week, but the question is how fast my domains will be mapped to the new IP addresses.

Well, just give us the IP when everything's done.
