I got the idea from some random feature request on SF.net
I'd post it on descent2.de/forum but .. yeah
It could use some work -- Mainly, be more blue, have the lightning arcing OVER it [not inside it], and most of all, be smaller..
Since the shield powerup doesn't have a polymodel and therefore doesn't have a polymodel size, which is what the shield sphere rendering code seems to work with, the shield is oversized.
And I have coronas turned off, which is why it's not glowing. I have plans to do the cloak as well. Maybe.
It's kind of a hack anyway.

edit: Diedel- That you can understand this codebase is amazing. Major respect, and i love d2x-xl.
