True enough. Would also like to see a system that allows side-by-side autogenerated tunnels to line up.

The best thing to use is the block builder DBB.

Why so humble? :)

Let's round this up a little:

350 fuel centers
100 robot generators

for D2X-XL levels.

A tool that will line up selected points to a certain axis(X,Y,Z) would be helpful

Also if it isnt too hard a object positioning system

Mr. Diedel, are you still taking requests? I currently do not have any requests but I am just wondering what your status was on this since the last post was last year.

I don't think he's still posting on the DBB. Probably best to e-mail or track down on SourceForge.

You can post DLE-XP bug reports and feature requests in the D2X-XL project on Sourceforge.net.

I wanted to mention that I love DLE-XP. It has revitalized Descent. I have recently created two brand new descent levels, Super Collider Obelisk for D1 and Super Collider Obelisk for D2. People in Kali are playing these levels.

The greatest thing you created in DLE by far is, the UNDO command. I've made so many mistakes, and without UNDO, I would have had to reload the level from a previous save multiple times. DMB2's UNDO function never worked and could never be relied upon.

That being said, I think it is fantastic how DLE has surpassed DMB2. However, there are some things you could add that would make DLE the one and only editor you would ever need:

Merge and incorporate into DLE all of the smaller programs that people sometimes use such as:

Descent Block Builder
256ed
Briefed
Cob2pm
Demdosb2
GXEDIT
mid2hmp
pmview
rboted
DTX
HAXEDIT

Anything else you can think of.

I'd like to be able to custom build new levels with just one editor, rather than scour the net looking for those hard to find files and then piece mealing the whole thing together from multiple sources.

Specifically, It would be nice to be able to edit sound effects, weapons, robots, DOORS, etc, within DLE.

You asked for suggestions. There is my suggestion.

This would be awesome to see happen but unfortunately it's so much work the chances are minimal at best. That said, DLE-XP is open-source now (happened about a month ago) so maybe it's more likely than I think...

Can you make a trigger that, when tripped, you are stripped down to your preloads, and reduced to 0 energy, and if you have a gauss cannon or a vulcan cannon preloaded, 0 vulcan ammo?

These two forums should just be locked and set to read only

Then add a hard link to D2X-XL site and respective DLE-XP sub forum

There really is not a point for active posting here in the past two years. not to mention the constant necro's which only leads to a post with a link to those pages anyway
