Zico, how is DXX version 0.54 coming along? I haven't heard anything lately. Also, thank you MetalBeast for the nice wallpapers.

Actually I am currently only waiting for our Mac maintainer to provide the latest stuff. Then 0.54 will be released.

The BETA test for this version ran very good and we are especially proud about our new UDP/IP code.
Also we have a brand new sound interface via SDL_mixer which not only allows MP3 and OGG playback but also less static noise and has a way better implementation for fading and panning sound effects.

However 0.54 introduces so much new srtuff so we needed extra quality testing.. still we are aware we need to make new changes in the background for following versions (especially the new sound API) but we hope 0.54 will please most players and limit annoying bugs to a minimum.

So I personally hope now it's only a matter of days now.
