but...
CNN was forced to issue a correction Tuesday, after former FBI director James Comey's written testimony contradicted its damaging report about the president.

"The most trusted name in news" had reported that Comey was expected on Thursday to dispute President Trump's claims that Comey had told him on multiple occasions that he was not under investigation.

Corrections are what news organizations do when they get something wrong.

Every major news outlet has had a few "mistakes" get pass their editors and fact checkers. Fox News has done their fair share of peddling outright false stories, even after some of them have been debunked everywhere else. But I'll have to hand it to them, they finally retracted one particular conspiracy theory, even though Sean Hannity continues to insist it's the truth and still peddles it to his stalwart Trumptard supporters who love that sort of junk.
