I guess there at least two PC connections you could make here.
One is how people who would normally speak up against segregation, have to keep their mouth shut in this case, and the other is how if white people did this it would be called discrimination, but in this case is referred to as self imposed segregation.
Other than those...I can't really see the PC connection here.
