You're right. Lets never change or add anything to the site ever. Even if it's only 12x12 gifs. That would topple everything.

Mods don't have the ability to add smiles. However to use whatever smiles you want all you need to do is upload them to some web space then use the [img] tag to put them in a post. Virtually all ISPs give you 5-10 MB of public HTTP space you can use for things like that free with your internet access. Upload, [img], post, done.

No you can't rule the roost. THAT's what it's about.
listen. you've been here a while Issac and you know that this board is running on an ancient version of phpBB. THAT is why things don't change here. Something would likely break. And the one or two that deal with this monster really don't want to brave the headache; nor do they have the time.
This has all been discussed before.
Be happy with what you can do on the other boards you visit. This is the exception.
besides, opening up access as you request is foolish and hazardous. What's not to stop someone from planting an infected gif in there. It only has to be 1 pixel and the same color of the resident background. Why not give knives to folks in prison?
Why am I going off? well because you start a thread that requests access to the board to add smiles; and when we say "no, please use photobucket or the like and "img" them in, you say:" It's not about the smiles"
What the hell else could it be about issac? if it's not PLEASE be more clear in your posts so we actually
know what you're talking about.
