Need a Blender to orf plugin/utility written.

Dear Descent Community:

I have become aware of a small problem with my models, within the conversion process between Blender and ORF format. Before I was using a utility I found that allows me to convert from MS3D (Milkshape 3D). Milkshape allows me to import the meshes. Then I modify the meshes, and save them in MS3D format, then I convert them to ORF files and import them into OOFEdit.

However, MS3D only allows for completely triangulated models. If you are unsure of what I speak of, see here:

What I need, is for some brave programmer, to create an export plugin for Blender itself, or some form of conversion utility that will allow us to export from .blender format to ORF (outrage room file) format.

I need this plugin to export the following correctly:

1. UVW coordintates for textures. (VERY important)
2. Geometry.
3. Four-sided polygons as well as three sided polygons. (also VERY important)

Blender source code information can be found here:

http://www.blender.org/download/source-code/

ORF Source info can be found here:

I am willing to pay you for this work upon completion of the plugin/utility.

You may contact me by e-mail: hawkeye_83210#yahoo.com (substitute # for @)

Please contact me before you begin your work to arrange payment.

Thank you for your time:

I have NO idea what you just said, but it's very cool that you took time to do it!

Thanks Mess!

(actually, I did follow most of it)

I didn't make anything. I just am putting up a request for someone else to do it and I will pay them a bit for the work. I am just pointing out the source files for the programmer as well.

I'm not a programmer myself... yet. ;)

I don't know if this will work in the mean time, but a program called Ultimate Unwrap 3D has a plugin for doing one file format and saving as another. If you save your blender file as a .3ds (For example) Unwrap3d has a save as plugin to go to OOF directly.

Look in the third party plugins. I know I can open a oof and save as into milkshape w/no probs.

Edit: sorry They don't have a save as to oof. only import.
