i dont know whether this belongs here or Coders Corner.

i have a DOS Game, Raptor: Call of The Shadows.

im looking for someone with good programming skills to help me modify a couple things.

the game has selectable weapons that you can fire. but some certain weapons only hit certian targets. for instance:

PLasma Gun: only targets airborne targets.
TwinLASER: Only Targets hostile objects, not ground scenery
EMP Cannon: targets anything
MicroMIssiles: anything

ETC ETC ETC.......

id like to see if i can get the game modified to fire all the special weapons together instead of having to switch back and forth for certain maps that have more ground targets than air targets and a couple maps that have tons of ground scenery that can be destroyed.

anyone think they can help me? i have 0 programming skills and have everything packaged in a single folder.

You can only modify an exe for a game if you have the source file. Do you have it?

Most DEFINITELY not happening, not only because you don't have the source code, but especially since Raptor uses the DOS/4GW extender, making it near impossible to reverse-engineer.

Just use twin lasers and switch quickly to and from "the bomb" when you have a tough non-hostile ground building to destroy.

Is it really worth the effort to modify a nearly fifteen-year-old game just for a minor gameplay tweak anyway?
