DVI-A and DVI-I

Post by AceCombat »

i just picked up a C220P ThinkVision CRT monitor from next to a dumpster, and its working perfectly. ( heavy SOB to!!!) it has both a DVI and VGA port. now i dont want to use my VGA cable because that is plugged in to my KVM switch and that is plugged into the VGA Port, i want to use the DVI Port for my game box , so what im asking is this......

can i buy a DVI-I cable and use it on a DVI-A port?

ive looked at DVI Info at the pinouts and it appears to me that they can be used, since they do carry the Analog pins.
