"How is the USB convertor project going for interceptor?"

I post this question 3 years before, any news about it?

I'm very tempted to make a snarky comment about you telling us how your progress is going on it, but I will refrain.

there is actually a linux driver souces code for interceptor, and it has a "magic knock" as kind of hand-shaking protocl, it might be helpful for you.

here is the link:

Current ADI driver supports actually all LT ADI based sticks released. I'm not a fan of the guy tho, he has a knack for writing very convoluted code. ;)

I am worrying about that the "gameport_trigger"(hand shaking process) is the prerequisition for the "gameport_read", it will make the joystick give no response to any reading action from outside.

don't you think it is a barrier for this project?

SideWinders need the same thing. Caps and timing may need to be tweaked for LT devices, not a problem IMO.

Converting Logitech WingMan Interceptor (ADI) to USB

I happen to have a couple of Interceptor sticks lying around. Probably the best flight stick Logitech ever made; all it really needs are a USB interface and rudder twist. Still, I'd like to get them working on modern computers, even if I do have a nice MS SWFFB2 to use.

I've searched here and found that some people have dabbled in it already.

-Tom's brain dump-ADI protocol of Logitech Wingman Interceptor
-Grendel's mentioned it and the CyberMan 2 before in terms of adding support to the 3DP-Vert, but apparently never got around to it. For instance, here's page 2 of the 3DP-Vert thread.

The thing that stops me from just gutting the whole thing and stuffing one of those BU0836 controllers inside is that the X and Y axes have some really weird Hall sensors. Not the can type that I'm used to (the sort used for modding Thrustmaster hardware), but triangular rockers with a metal surface, hovering just over some PCB traces. Replacing all that would take a lot of work, mating replacement sensors to the gimbals and all.

Has any progress been made over all these years to get a working USB converter for the Interceptor and other ADI devices?
