Word doc file name changing to lower case?

A friend is running Vista and Word 97 and after he creates Word doc and names it with upper & lower case letters and then closes and re-opens the file the name changes to all lower case.
Any ideas?

Might just be Word 97 itself. That's a pretty ancient version to be running in Vista.
(Not that I'm one to talk...I'm running Office 2003.
)

I'm running 2003 also and it works like a charm although it doesn't had all the new "bells and whistles".
