PDA recommendations...Palm Tungsten E ?

Post by ReadyMan »

My wife is looking to get a PDA and she's considering the Palm Tungsten E

Does anyone have any input on this PDA?

She can get one at work for $150...

Thanks!

Since you are asking for recommendations, I will suggest a PocketPC. I have one now, and I'm really happy with it. I mean, the damn thing can play NES and SNES games! Image

Compaq makes some nice PocketPC solutions.

get ipaq h2215 (it's among the fastest, has both CF and SD slots, and has user replacable battery, and bluetooth)

btw, officemax has tungsten C available for 200 after rebates. Much better than the E version.

Got a mac version suggestion? my 3c died on me and won't hotsync.
Color prefered, doesn't have to do many tricks, just b able to h-sync with Mac OS 10.3.Ability for addy book,notes,to-do list, calender and couple of d/led apps only reqirements.

I like T3. I can recommend it, if you can find it cheap. Image

I would love a T3 (no wasted screen space!), but my original T works well.

As for a Mac suggestion for fusion, the E is the least expensive color Palm. You can get Zires for less, but unless you spend $100 more than the E, you won't get color.

There's also other Palm OS PDAs out there, like the Handsprings, but I just feel better going straight to Palm itself. Image You could also get a PocketPC model, as there are third-party utilities to sync up, but usually they're more expensive, as well, and of course it won't be as "out-of-the-box" compatible as a Palm model.

Got my Ipaq h2215 today, this thing rox! It's soo tiny compared to my older Ipaq 3835. And it's very fast. I highly recommend it if you want a PPC and can afford it!
