DirectX and FPS

Post by Deadmeat »

Was chatting with one of my members today and he was telling me that if he runs DX9.0b his framerates drop. With DX9.0 everything is ok. Can any of you shed some light on the subject?

I would say: unlikely.

The latest version of DX9 isn't worth DLing anyway - as IIRC, it's just got the SDK in it.

DX9b has a bug fix for that MIDI security thing.

the DX SDK is another thing entirely, and is well over 100 megs in size, with lots of headers, and sample programs.

Hey flip. He only plays D3 and thinks the card is a Geforce4 MX420. That sound right?
