What happened to either of the first two Saturdays (4th and 11th)? I guess they're no good for you, Sirius?

Although it's damn near impossible for me to predict my schedule weeks (much less months) in advance, I'll go ahead and say that any Saturday is fine with me. Whatever happens, I'll make sure to keep it from interfering with the D2 revival. ;)

I did have a slight ulterior motive there; 18th is the best for me, although I wouldn't rule those two out either. BUT... the 4th is now probably too short notice for Phaser to like much. 11th may be okay, except well... SOMEONE is not going to be able to come anyway. Always happens.

Either the 11th or the 18th work equally well for me.

Both are fine for me. I'll just cast my vote with the majority.

Riot,

the Kali master server address or something like that had changed recently - did you update that in your setup? You also need to allow Kali to act as a server if you're using a firewall. Make sure to open the ports it needs as well.

Go with 25 I guess; gives people better notice that it's coming.

25th sounds good to me. I haven't been able to connect on Kali this weekend (the 17th and 18th), is it me or is Kali down?

Sounds great; I'll get the news post up on PD ASAP. :)

P.S. Any consensus about the use of D2X-W32-exclusive features?

All D2X-W32 features can be turned off by the game host if he/she is using D2X-W32. All D2X-W32 features will be turned off by D2X-W32 clients if they detect that the game host is not D2X-W32.

So much for the D2 Revival this weekend. DOH!
No kali so I guess those of us out there that have D2x-w32 will have to host a tracker game so people can join!

Check again... it's back, albeit in a limited fashion.

Besides, Phaser has shifted it to a different server once before. :) I'm sure she'd do whatever it takes.

Is anybody going to be playing using the tracker this weekend for the revival? Some friends and I are going to be playing this Saturday night and if we can't get Kali working we are going to try to use the tracker.

Hopefully. I'm going to be pushing for some CTF and Entropy action among those who have the right setup...

I'll definitely play d2x w/tracker. Since switching to the new Kali tracker, Kali has been bugging me about NAT issues again, so I'd rather just avoid that whole headache and use diedel's excellent UDP gaming goodness.

/Diedel sinks MD-2389's feet into two big buckets filled with concrete back in the KALI server room and patiently keeps MD down, waiting for it to harden, so that this will never happen again. :P

Argggg, Kali.

Post by spud »

I had fun at the Revival, I actually managed to play a little bit over Kali. The problem is that Kali is currently being hosted on a network/computer (Jay's Cable modem?) that doesn't have enough capacity. Kali shows me active D2 IPX games but D2X-W32 doesn't see them, it's very frustrating. I'm pretty sure it's Kali, because when I join #chat on ->Descent<- Kali thinks there are like 40+ people on the channel but I only end up seeing 3-4 in my chat list. Grrr.

I have started games on the tracker and then hung around for a long time waiting for somebody to join. Nada.
