Battlestar Galactica resumes

Post by Jon the Great »

Didn't see this thread anywhere. Battlestar Galactica resumes tonight. It should be on with new episodes every friday starting with this one for the next several weeks.

If you haven't seen it before this would be a good place to start. They like to do long 'previously on' bits at the begining of each episode.

And tonight's episode is going to be a damn good one.

SG-1 and Atlantis continue tonight as well. All three shows look to have very promising starts.

'bout time. The world is finally back to normal. And SG1 went back to the old intro theme, with updated graphics, instead of that loopy intro they had for the first half of the season. Much better. BSG stays at the top of its game. Hoo-rah!

MD i know your favourite show:

it's set in space, in a giant bubble of water, inside this bubble of water are seahorses who turn to stone when they are exposed to sunlight.

i enjoy both stargates and ive seen every EP ever made of both. but nothing compares to BSG. I think it's about time to have a more in-depth discussion about where the show is heading. but i want to wait until spoiler tags are fixed.

Battlestar Galactica just reeks. The Cylons, well they look too good to be machines. And Starbuck a woman come on. I remember the original BSG with Lorne Green a much easier series to follow for sure. So maybe I'm biased.

I remember the first BSG also, in fact my kids bought me the DVD set. at first I was like HEY they didnt do that in the Original BSG, but then I stepped back and watched it as a new series but knowing the premise of what was supposed to happen. I think thats what I like about this one. I know the Story line, yet its not the same as the original, in the Original CDR Cain was a Hero that sacrificed himself trying to defeat 2 Cylon base stars. in this one Cain is a eglomaniac that sacrifices humans and in fact has them executed just to further her position militarily. so you know they must kill her. but will they sacrfice the Pegasus in doing so as in the Orignal BSG

Don't get me wrong, I watch BSG (sort of), but only cuz after the two stargate episodes, I'm usually half asleep and unwilling to reach for the remote.

Heh...Im surprised you guys dig some of these shows... My girl does that girls make-up..whats her face that plays starbuck...

what else is weird is that i created this site:
SeaQuestDSV

and whats funny (or not so funny) is..the flash portion of this site...was recovered off my hard drive after it crashed and had already been reformatted...it was the only copy i had at the time and the flash file ended up like went through the ringer...as you can see (i had to basically talk universal into not making me redo the whole thing)

Its supposed to be as clean as this:
Cleopatra2525
another site i made..

I also created the online banners for battlestar galactica...Ya know that kid from SeaQuestDSV killed himself...(johnathan brandis?)...creepy...i dont think i could watch the show if not just for that reason...

aw man, the original was fun but crap by comparison. the destruction of the colonies was like two raiders bombing a strip mall in Danville.

I have to be out of character and totally agree with Palzy. The old BSG with Lorne Green was like watching Ponderousa in space. Just didn't have the depth of characters the new series has. Every week there seems to be a new twist. Last fridays battle scene against the Cylon memory ship rivaled the best of Babylon Five.
Looking forward to next week to see what happens. Stay tuned all.

I've got to say the way they got rid of CDR Cain in that last episode was an interesting twist.I wasnt expecting that. in the old BSG Cain was killed along with the Pegasus while fighting 2 base stars. so now with cain out of the way and 2 Battlestars at thier disposal, do they go on the offensive? :D

I would assume Genghis was refering to the new Starbuck since he was replying to JBOMBs comment.
She is good lookin in a "down and dirty" sorta way... maybe thats why Genghis typed what he did? No matter...

No more Dish Network... Don't have cable.

So no more BSG (Battlestar Galactica) for a while here.

Perhaps I could watch it as reruns in the near future.

Last BSG I saw was the last one for last season.

DOH!
