From the look of the error. This has to do with the way D2X-XL is reading the files, not the level it self.

If you report the error at the SF site. Diedel will fix it.

BTW - Make sure you have the latest version of D2X-XL and test to see if you still get the same error.

If so, when posting the bug report. Be sure to add what version of D2X-XL the error came from. :)

He updates a fair bit, so it helps to know the version. ;)

Oh BTW - Are you using a MAC or maybe the demo version of D2 with D2X-XL?

If you haven't had a look at the SF.net site yet.
There is a bug report close to your problem.

Do you have Vertigo? If you don't, that's what the game will tell you. Just hit OK, and it should be fine.
