Rebirth compiles and runs on Linux without any help. Never tried XL on Linux so can't help ya there.

Wow whats that?/ never heard of rebirth before.. but i found the site d2-xl .. made it about half-way through the install before running into a wall (for now).

If you haven't found this yet. There is an install page regarding Linux from the D2X-XL page.
