Been there, done that.....twice! And I'll go ya one better. Purchased an old computer with Win 98, then bought a Voodoo 3 graphics card so I could play Descent 1 and Descent 2.

maybe "when you upgrade your hardware just to play Descent" should be modified to "when you buy an old, slow computer so you'll be able to run D1" ;)
