This was a kid's show back in the early and mid 70's. It started on the heels of Sesame Street . oh, yeah. here in the States. :)

And you should. Both "The Electric Company" and "Sesame Street" was/are produced by the "Children's Television Workshop" (Now "Sesame Workshop"). PBS broadcast 780 episodes over 6 years (1971 to 1977) before "The Electric Company" ceased production.

Yeah....

Different time period, different trends and ideas of what was \"cool\". Even things from my childhood in the 80s/90s are seeming more and more dated but for whatever reason that stuff seems SO lame :P

To be fair however, if I had to choose between raising my children on TEC and/or Sesame Street and that monster from the late 90s, Barney.....TEC/Sesame wins hands down.

I loved that show as a kid. I had forgotten that Freeman was in it.
