Interplay is dead to me anyway. There's little chance they'll revive a game that didn't do well (even if it was their own fault.)

probably not from scratch. They are probably looking into tighter security methods and trying them out. That probably means new software..Commercial software and that's seldom cheap. and money isn't something they have a lot extra of.
