Top of the heap

Post by woodchip »

Seems Trump is now riding high:

"Mr Trump was touting his first place in an average of 105 polls. Of the 14 candidates who have declared, Trump topped the field with 13.6 per cent support to 13.3 per cent for Jeb Bush"

Americans want someone who will protect our borders and isn't afraid to call a spade a spade (some of you will take this as a racist remark but only because you are racist to begin with). We are tired of the same pablum spoon fed us by both sides of the aisle and are looking for someone to actually voice the frustration we all feel. Trump appears not to be afraid of the criticism. Still a long way to the election but we may be seeing a indication of how the electorate is viewing their candidates.

If Trump continues to climb, watch other candidates start to echo him. Really looking forward to the Rep. debates. The Dems will also be worried about Trump as they have no one to match his money nor his ability to paint America as the shining light on the hill like Reagan did. If Trump wins the primaries, his Dem. opposite will get chewed up alive.

In 2012 every single GOP hopeful led in the poles for about a week.

Trump has no chance.

Nice guy Trump. Hoover would be proud. At least Hoover had the tact to do it under the sly. Trump's too stupid to see that dissing a very big chunk of the American populace by coming off as a xenophobe won't win him the presidential election.

Florida Times-Union wrote:Hoover, who was president from 1929 to 1933, never issued any official document ordering the deportation of all illegal immigrants, according to Matthew T. Schaefer, archivist at the Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch, Iowa. Marian Smith at the USCIS Office of the Historian couldn't find any evidence of that either, according to FactCheck.org.

But during this time, there was a "repatriation" campaign in which illegals were returned to their country of origin, mostly Mexico, PolitiFact.com and FactCheck.org report.

Kevin Johnson, an immigration specialist who is dean of the University of California-Davis School of Law, put the number returned to Mexico at 1 million.

"Persons who looked Mexican in public places, such as parks and plazas, were arrested and taken in buses, trains and cars to the U.S.-Mexico border," Johnson told PolitiFact.com.

Official statistics, published by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (now the USCIS), show that 121,067 persons were deported or induced to leave during Hoover's four-year term, according to FactCheck.org's research.

And do realize what having Hillary as the odds on fav in the DNC says about them?

Hillary's only their fav because she's been the one sticking her face all over in the press for months. Time to knock her off the pedestal.

that, comparatively, they are rocket-scientists. A race between Trump and Hillary would be a non-starter. Possibly the only candidate in EITHER party with higher negatives("I cannot see voting for him/her") than Hillary(around 34%), might be the Donald(around 65%). Huckabee, Cruz and, oddly, Jeb Bush get close to Hillary, but Trump is in a postiton where he is fighting to draw 35% in an election with two candidates. Do the math.

I don't think Hill will get the DNC nod. If she does, she'll get eviscerated by the GOP candidate for her actions and lack of accomplishment while she was SOS.

Trumps a novelty. If you think he's being taken as a serious candidate then you need your head checked.

I bloody well hope she doesn't get the nod. The Dems would be idiots to do it because she's so polarizing. Plus, there's that dynasty thing.....

As for Trump, he's up there in the polls with Jeb. He's got far better numbers than the rest of the clown car, much to the mainstream Republican's chagrin.

which is why 21% of likely GOP primary voters in NH say they support him? You see, CUDA, the longer-term problem for the GOP field is they have to kowtow to the 1/5 of their primary electorate that thinks bashing latinos is cool. Which, in turn, will play oh-so-well for the party from top of ticket down with the fastest growing demographic in the national populace.

He can afford the losses. All the attention offsets any financial loss. If you think the average joe blow isn't noticing and liking what he says, I suggest you stop watching MSNBC and stop reading the Huffington Post.

You know, if Trump wasn't such an idiot and xenophobe with a snowball's chance in Hell of winning, I'd be fun to watch him get the top Republican nod and go toe to toe and hair to hair with any Dem worth their salt. It would make the primary entertaining for once.

from an analysis of Trumps OWN documents:".... lists $302 million in liquid assets". The rest of that guesswork piece of crap has his real estate holdings valued at 3.8 billion, yet, that is only HIS estimate, not market value. Also, he claims his personal 'brand' is worth 3.2 Billion. That number is both inflated and clearly dropping. He conveniently overlooks around $500,000,000 in current outstanding debt, as well. In other words, 8 billion my ass.
