PC Card Modem Issues

Post by JMEaT »

I've tried 3 modems. The 1st 2 had hardware failures. The 3rd one is brand new, with latest drivers. It picks up the line and there is a dial tone then it dials the 1st number of the ISP and hangs up saying "there was no answer.

Please offer any advice, I'm about to throw the laptop through the window...... Image Image Image Image Image

Make sure to disable call waiting on the line.

The OS is Win2K. No service packs (yet). Fresh install.

I haven't touched the services, but if you want to list them that may help Image

Well, I took back the pc card modem and bought an external usb powered modem. Works like a charm.
