Re: Hypocrites
Careful Ferno. Woody's gonna chime in and claim "racist name calling" because you called those morons chimps.
Oh, and you forget to include Lindsey Graham to that list of chimps. Tsk. Tsk.

Then was then and now is now...the question is how big a bloodbath will it be for the Dems come Nov. with all their Marxist/socialist rhetoric?Vander wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 2:20 pm After the 2012 election, the RNC did a post-mortem on what happened and made recommendations for the future. It basically laid out that the GOP needed to be more inclusive, and suggested backing immigration reform. 2016 hopefuls like Rubio and Cruz got out front on that, and paid the price for it when Trump joined the fight bringing blood and soil rhetoric that stirred the worst elements of the American right.

Re: Hypocrites
And how big a bloodbath will it be for the Right Wing Clown Car when women everywhere in the U.S. decide that the issue of reproductive rights is far more important than the economy? The economy will eventually settle down no matter who's driving the train because Washington really has only illusionary control, but taking away someone's rights permanently pisses them off for the long term, and they vote.

Re: Hypocrites
Yeah, some of his ideas are out there and would never fly in the freedom-loving self-centered U.S., but not all of his ideas are bad, as you posted. In fact, ALL of those listed are good ones. Plus, I was mostly talking about his hand waving and billionaire rants as irritating. He needs to get a new shtick while on screen.
For example, education. When I went to college in the 1970's, it was mostly funded by the state, so tuition for all 4 years only cost my parents around $12,000 in total. What changed? Republicans in Oregon's State Legislature began de-funding it over the years, bit by little bit, until now tuition for in-state students is horrendous. This year, for 3 terms of learning (1 year) at Oregon State University, it will cost an in-state student $30,870. Multiply that times 4 for a Bachelors degree and it climbs to $123,480. For out of state students, it's $52,662 for 3 terms. In 4 years, that ends up $210,648. This means we're talking house mortgage levels of debt just to get a college education, Plus, none of those figures takes in account the costs for housing, food and transportation. Why, because the Republican Party doesn't like educated people, pure and simple and so they don't want to pay for it. Guess who bitched the most about Biden's student debt cancellations? Republicans, including my sister. I guess they'd rather have a bunch of dumb sheeples around that are more willing to vote for their insidious platform, because a lot more smart people are staying away from Republicanism. In the meantime, they're also gathering more and more religious nutcases who want more repressive morality laws. It doesn't take an education to see where this is heading for the Republican Party.

Pretty much.
Re: Hypocrites
30:00 that has to be a record before dropping the "R" word.
Re: Hypocrites
Don't you think racism is at least a component to this?
Re: Hypocrites
I honestly don't know, I was just amazed because racism is usually the first play.
Re: Hypocrites
Some More News is extremely well-researched and as a business they are very careful about making flippant remarks. Their brand is a left-leaning comedy news show that doesn't distorting facts. They absolutely ★■◆● on Democrats and left-wing media too and are more than happy to do it.

Re: Hypocrites
It's obviously Trump's first play. Plus, he doesn't seem to realize that McConnell's wife is a Taiwanese immigrant and called her a racist sneer: "Coco Chow". Last I heard, Taiwan was a U.S. ally and a friend. I bet McConnell is fuming right now at the insult, plus the "Death wish" comment. That's what you get when you coddle a crazy egomaniac.... for years. Someone needs to get a spine.

Re: Hypocrites
Even though these 2 items aren't the exact topic woody started in the original thread, it's a continuation of the same vein, hypocrisy TO THE MAX.

Re: Hypocrites
It's only hypocrisy if you ignore that they believe they should be in control and will do or say anything prevent a challenge to that control.

Not to mention that guy's son is a right-wing stooge too, so he can hardly be accused of being a liberal source.

Re: Hypocrites
Yep. Otherwise, if they'd actually had "principles" and "family values", Republicans would dump him like a hot potato and find someone else because their pick is a womanizing, lying slimeball.

Re: Hypocrites
We've got our own "family values" Republican running for Senate. Most of you have heard of him too. He's also a closet sex slimebag running on a platform of protecting women's health care, conveniently leaving out all mention of banning abortion. Yeah, eff him and the train he rode in on.
