snow

Post by aldel »

I was a bit tempted to resurrect this thread, but two weeks is a bit old. It'd be all half-decayed and gross.

About two feet last night in the Boston area, and it's still coming down.

Edit: My orchestra rehearsal is canceled, so you know it's serious.

I love not having a car.

You guys are so lucky. It's funny though, you are more south than I am yet you get more snow. I'm 500KM north of Toronto Canada and we only get about 6-8inches of snow per storm at most.

Jmeat: Feel compelled to say:

"Lucky for you. 1 inch of snow is all a RAV4 can take..." ;)

We got about 12 inches but right now it is below zero (9:30 pm). Some drifting but nothing we Michiganders can't handle. :)

Heh, and all we got this time around was a light dusting. ;)

Funny thing is...we're well overdue for another ice storm along the lines of the one we had back in '94. Jediluke might be able to talk about that one since I think he was still here back then. Maybe Iceman too. ;)

btw aldel, the general rule of thumb around here is that as long as its not much older than a month, I won't really care just as long as you're contributing to the thread. If its bumped up just for the hell of it, then I'll mind. (ie: postcount++ crap)

2.5' here just north of boston.
The drifts were up to my shoulders (i'm 6' tall).
Thankfully my mother just bought a snowblower.
But even with it I was out there shoveling for hours.

My sister and my cars were pretty much entirely burried by the drifts.

I hope you got your sister out before you worried about the cars :o .
