Quick Update
If you look carefully at the cockpit render/screenshot, we must extend the hood over the instrumentation.
In return the electronics will not reflected in the front window.
Added some more

Certain things can be left out by the MasterMold Maker, I have been leaving that option in the whole time.
Camera View from the cockpit (WIP) - then I had a little fun with Photoshop

Very cool indeed. Are you going to attempt the Lock alarm box as well?

i know this was 12 days ago but i havent been keeping up real well. anyways, looking at the d2 movies, some escape sequences, i noticed:
The pyro in d2 has absolutely nothing on the belly! in a way i dont like the junk you put on the belly, where the hell is the center gunpoint supposed to be (missiles)? but in a way it looks good.
now for the cockpit, the center part of it (where the shield meter is) is not at enough of an angle. in fact, i think its completely vertical!
in the d2 intro:
and even better, the d1 playstation version end movie:
in fact, the whole set of screens is at a slight angle.
as it is, it looks great, though. i cannot wait to see it finished; i would like to have a render of it for my desktop . if i had money i would get the pyro model when its made, too.

Update, most of the interior layout is just for placement and is constantly being updated.

Is that rectangle next to the AB meter supposed to be the LOCK box? If I remmeber correctly (out of the d3 manual) the LOCK box was to the left more...

Sorry, but.... Does it really matter?
I mean really... it will hardly be noticeable when it's been molded.
Did you read what Bubba said in his post?

I guess that bit you quoted from bubb I had read, but it went in one ear and out the other. And it matters to me.

And it matters to me.
Thats cool. I'm fine with that.
But the way I see it is:
1) The model itself is either 6\" or 8\".
2) Either size the cockpit will be around 1/2\" to 1 1/2\".
The panels inside the cockpit will be so small that one would think that it won't even show up in the molding process.
Though I could be wrong. KB probably knows more about that.
Anyways.
From the look of it. Bubba is using the D2 cockpit as reference.
The changes look a heck of alot better!
Keep in mind, Bubba is improving the look of the pyro and it looks 100x better then original.

Update
I think this will be it... for the Scale Model before I cut it up. Since this is only going to maybe 8\" plenty of details are present. After we have that setup I will continue on the Model for everyone else and myself

poor issac
i actually could see this pyro being used to remake the d1/2 cutscenes if anyone were to take the time to do that.
yes! a photo-realistic pyro gx in the asteroid belt for my desktop, coupled with the same model, 8 inches long, sitting beside my monitor on my desk, canopy open, showing off the cockpit and \"luxurious\" seating !
what more could one ask for?

A descent keychain and a Descent Pyro with your name made out of wood.

A New Descent that is the combination of Freespace II Scale and Campaigns with Old Skool Descent Ambiance, huge Gibfest, and a Touch of Independence Wars.

not to worry I am making my own pilot mesh, but that will wait until I sliced up the Prefab Model for the desk pyro
anyone have a screenshot from the d1 ending of the vertigo 1's helmet

I didn't like the look of that helmet from the PS D1 movie, but your version makes it look awesome.
