Advice On Starting a LAN Center.
Hey,
Well, my boss is interested in starting a LAN center here in Idaho and I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations?
We are looking at using PC's and the XBox for the center. Specifically, I would like some advice on rates and any other ideas you may have to help us get things going.

have some kind of deli food for people to eat while playing. I would say buffalo wings but i made that mistake once during a lan party. ooo! but fried chicked would be good. Buy a deep fryer and cheap hot dogs! In fact the food could be cheap to make and free to eat! People would play longer. Get fat, but play longer!
So design a lobby/food-place in between where the light is and the actual gaming hall.fliptw wrote:the problem with a lot of lan centres?
they need to have the curtians closed to count down on the glare of the CRT's. so the look like porn shops from the outside, so no-one wants to send their kids in to them.
pick an LCD that works well in daylight.
