\"Superpower in Decline\" - very interesting read

The link leads to a book excerpt. No America bashing, just some interesting analysis. English, of course.

Was thinking more about this, and noted the excerpt did not mention the US military. It's my contention, that if the author is correct, then the powers-that-be in the USA will be more inclined to wield their military power, as their economic power wanes. Of course, no other nation is silly enough to maintain such a stupid level of armed forces - so it is virtually guaranteed that the USA will use them more often in the future, weakening their already very poor public image.

I have no doubt you'll end up at war with Iran, unless Congress puts the brakes on George \"The Decider\" Bush Jr.

After that? Well, who knows what country will have what the US wants, but be uninclined to sell it to them, or give it away?

We can only hope our future presidents won't abuse their power.
