No kidding! I've been that close to F-14's when my father was stationed at what was NSA Detroit (just off of Lake St. Clair). That video doesn't do it justice man. Just to feel the thump in your chest man.....its awesome! Its also a real treat to watch them land and take off at night!

I live right beside the final approach for Willow Grove NAS. (A little over a mile from the station, their approach path flies over my street about half a block down the way.) There are a squadron of A10's based there. I haven't experienced anything that close, but have seen lots of them fly right over me at low altitude on final approach. They also have a lot of C130's the fly in and out of here- you can hear them spooling up their engines for takeoff, and coming in for landing.

It looks to me like that flyby was intentionally extra low. When he pulls his gear, he wobbles a bit. Normally they would power up and climb.

Hmmm... that looks like it might be in the Salt Lake valley. The Hill Air Force Base at Ogden, UT.

Hehe, Snoopy, I'd forgotten that you live within ten minutes of me. :P We're on the approach path, too, as it turns out. I've always loved the A-10; it's ugly as sin, but a hell of a killing machine.
