number of posts per page

I'm on dial-up and it can take minutes to load a page in a thread because there are so many posts/page.

Is there any way to lower the number of posts per page to improve loading times?

Hmmmm, that is a good point, I think it is at 60 posts per page right now, it used to be 25. Best option would be to mod it so it is user controlled though.

I suggest 30 per page. Maybe 40...

I believe 40 would be a good number, even my connection isn't the fastest and that would speed up page loads here.

If possible, make this user controlled. Default maybe 25 or 30, but allow people to set their own to 50, 60, or even 100.

User controlledwould be nice but I think that would take a mod. If thats the case it's something KB would have to do. Lets get a little more feedback on the number and then change it for a test run.

Nevermind downloading, just rendering some of those monstrous pages in the E&C can take some pause. I'd suggest about 25.

I'd suggest 25. 25 is a nice unit. You know if you have four pages, there are 100 posts. :)

I'd be down for a few less posts per page. 25 sounds like a nice number.
