I did not check mine until 7am but it updated. Might want to check date and time in control panel and see how the auto update is set also.

Appearently the system that runs my banks online interface didn't.

Hopefully the airports figured this all out, otherwise I'll be waiting and extra hour for my brother to show up.

NTP (Network Time Protocol, which is what Windows uses to sync time) doesn't care about DST, or time zones at all for that matter. Timezone information in Windows is stored in the registry; you could theoretically change the registry entry yourself to tell Windows how to deal with DST, but why bother when there's a Windows Update patch that does it for you?

Unless of course you're using an operating system that Microsoft no longer fully supports, like Windows 2000.

There is a reg hack to make it work on 2000. I'll see if I can't find it and post it.

Heh, so Bush has had 7 years to come up with an energy saving policy and the best he can come up with is \"turn your lights off.\"

We should just get rid of daylight savings anyway.

The Automatically update for dst checkbox in the pc clock was unchecked.
Hey, I didn't do it ... really! :P

(seriously, I didn't do it - is it possible one of the patched did?)

It all boils down to....

If you're running Windows XP (or newer).... and you installed the updated from Microsoft .... AND you properly set the Time Zone in you Date and Time Control Panel...

It should have worked without any problems.

ALL of mine were just file... only the Windows 2000 and older systems had to be adjusted.

The only remaining thing... If you use Microsoft Office... did you apply the related updates to that as well? If not, calendar/time items may come up one hour off.

Bush came up with the idea of setting the clocks forward this early?

Predictable.. yet unexpected.

Other than making me feel really drowsy and weird for a couple days, does DST even serve a purpose anymore? Seriously. Can we just pick one time and run with it? We aren't plowing the fields and milking the cows at high noon anymore.

My dad had to spend an extra three hours at his job in the ABC Tampa affiliate to patch all the macs for daylight savings...

It can have Final Cut Pro installed on it, with compatibility for tape to computer programs, but it cant switch the time by an hour... shame.

I hearby call an end to the DST debacle, this isnt the 1800's anymore. Who the ★■◆● wants to get up at 7 am in the dark to go to work, then leave home in the dark at 5? It has an impact on the psyche.

Yea, thats a great idea, lets make it darker, SOONER!

When you have a product that focuses more on how it looks rather than what productivity it can do, what else can you expect?

would help if you would have checked the box to automatically adjust for daylight savings time!! LMAO

hurry and scurry to the date and time .cpl under timezone tab to cover your tracks

I seem to have a better workout dodging your stupidity than attempting to grasp the weight of your intelligence.
