Life keeps me very busy lately...

Post by SirWinner »

I work for a friend of mine. We do some cool software that allows someone to transmit \"Live\" Video while traveling down the highway at highway speeds.

There are a lot of ways to use this software to send Live Video. (Tornados, traffic accident on the highway, house fire, etc.)

Company Main Web Page:
http://www.ipixcel.com/

Here are some links that shows just a small part of our software in use:

This page shows our VideoMover(tm) product in action:
http://www.ipixcel.com/install.htm

Here's some news footage the day after the same TV station in Orlando Florida covered a tornado event from the night before:
http://www.wftv.com/video/14170223/index.html?taf=orlc
- They were the only Television station in their area to be able to do so.

This footage was shown live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma while we were getting a heavy ice storm across most of the state of Oklahoma:
http://www.ipixcel.com/strom2007.htm
- A LOT of people in Oklahoma City and all over Oklahoma were without Electricity for a week or more after this storm.

We have several products besides VideoMover(tm).

Just glad to be able to use my Computer Programming skills for something so cool. (30+ years and counting!)

Enjoy!

Will try to visit the Descent Bulletin Board (DBB) a little more often.

Glad to see that this community is alive and well.

If anyone sees Sup or KoolBear, tell them that \"SirWinner says 'Hello!'\"

this sounds like a disruptive technology, amirite? a SOFTWARE solution to video over mobile phones?

(btw, why not use flash videos for the site.)

Roid: Laughing out loud at your comment.

This is NOT a cell phone technology... it uses Cellular Air Cards or Satellite uplink connected to an IBM PC Compatible Laptop from the mobile vehicle.

It is very useful!

I thought the technology i was describing sounded very useful.
What you're describing sounds like what i'm describing.

Since your software is too big to run on a mobilephone, the mobile phone can be just used as a modem right? Basically: Camera records video realtime -> pc encodes it (and manages bandwidth) -> mobile phone sends it all to homebase in realtime.

(i can't watch the videos on your site)

My thought too... you can have the greatest product in the world, but poor website design reflects badly on your company as a whole... you wouldn't show up for a sales meeting with coveralls and a straw hat, would you? Eh... It's not the the worst website.
