My 18th Birthday
I've turned 18 today!!! (In Manitoba, 18 is the age when I'm legally an adult).
I've already promised myself that I will never drink alcohol, smoke, or take drugs, in case you were wondering. I'm not interested in poisoning myself.

Hah, I remember 18 being such a letdown.
But it was convenient to be able to sign papers as an adult. I had already been out of the house for a year, and that had occasionally been a major hassle. And I guess I ultimately appreciated being able to vote, too.
Seriously, I made sure to drive when I turned 16 and drink (a little) when I turned 21, but I couldn't think of a darned thing to do to celebrate turning 18.Great now I can go, uh, buy porn. No wait, I don't want to do that. I can go buy cigarettes! No wait, I don't want to do that either. Some sort of a weapon, maybe? I think I can buy big knives now . . . no wait, I know! I'll JOIN THE ARMY!

Happy birthday! I turned 21 last year... had a great time drinking, and didn't even puke at the end of the night in spite of how trashed I got. If the drinking game was played right, you'll be fine.
I had a good year as an 18 year old. I joined one of the city's hottest group and went clubbing every weekend. In no time I learned to be a good hip hop dancer. I started college and made new friends. Unfortunately I lost two of my high school classmates to death, but overall, life was great!
Just be sure to keep your mind open to the possibilities and it doesn't take any of the alcohol, nictotine, or even drugs to enjoy the benefits. Life is just really awesome like that!:D
