Sharing a file or folder over the net ?

Post by thewolfe »

I would like to be able upload/download a file or folder from my main computer to another computer outside my network.

I use LogMeIn so I could go to my main computer while offsite and upload a file/folder so I could grab it from my present location.

Or upload something so that someone else could download it with my permission.

This would not be high volume or capacity and I'm looking for a free service.

try an FTP server. Firezila has a nice one.

Other options include, Remote Desktop, UltraVNC, and Virtual Networking.

www.rapidshare.com

Upload anything under 100mb, get a private link, email link, click link, download file.

Use Telecrossing when d/l'ing, it has 100+kb transfers, the rest are EU.

It's never good to wake up in the shrubs naked, you either got way too drunk, or your azz is a werewolf.

I really like the Microsoft FTP Server included in Windows. Set it up perfectly here.
