Dragonball becomes generic kung-fu action movie... Where are my beam-spam and stare down contests? Weak.

Not to mention its not dragonball without blowing up namek/the earth once or twice... even if it takes 50 episodes.

Just the thought of a DB Movie is good, though I'll have to watch all of the original DB first.

Yeah, they could make it really kiddy and ruin the movie, but I'll stay optimistic till reviews or I see it.

Interesting pic. One thing with the comparison of these two is one is DragonBall and one is DragonBall Z. :)
It seems that they chose to do the movie around a young adult Goku rather than an 8 year old. (or whatever age he was)

Regardless, it would fit between DB and DBZ. More than enough time for the Dragonballs to reset.

I don't understand who this movie is designed to appeal to. Anime fans would probably resent it for being inaccurate or, well, not animated. People unfamiliar with the series would probably be lost. It doesn't make sense to me.

Its a franchise that sold lots of stuff. All the reason you need.

I have no faith in game or anime to live action movies anymore, especially when the job is given to hack directors.

I await the slaughter of Half Life.

By animephiles who actually enjoyed it. That entire audience is already raising pitchforks against this movie.

Are you talking about the 1986 animated one, which was a 'so bad it's good' movie (saw it last Monday, actually), or are you talking about the 1995 live action one?
