I just watched one of the most classic B Movies ever made. I must of seen if a [exaggerating]billion[/exaggerating] times I must say very good movie all around. Got the whole basic struggle of mans survival in the face of unknown dangers. I would give a 4 out of 5 stars.

The Incredible Shrinking Man.

There are other great B Movies out there.

What do you think is one of the greatest?

Forbidden Planet (1956) is definitely a classic and (IMO) a B movie. Was nominated for an Oscar in the Special Effects category.

X2 on that. Awesome movie.

Creature from the Black Lagoon was the first one I thought of. .. that wasn't so much a B grade though. It was some of the early horror, not sure it was "low budget" though.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I love the old Godzilla movies. I used to watch them with my little brother. Sometimes we'd turn down the volume, put on some classical music, and make up our own dialog. :)

I think I saw some clips from it on Youtube once. My brother was a big fan though and told me all about it. :)

I remember this at the drive in when I was kid like around five... think it was the '63 Impala. Plan 9 From Outer Space. The effects are a sight to behold.

I recall it being dull for me because I was waiting for the next film with Dinosaurs in it, specifically a Tyrannosaurus rex.

Why would you be ashamed..... When I was in 5th-6th grade way back when, I lived on a military base with my parents and every Saturday I would take my weekly 1 dollar allowance and go to the base theater with my friends from the neighborhood. For 1 dollar, we could get admission, a giant coke and one of those flat jolly rancher bars (usually watermelon), sit all the way down in the front row, lean back and watch Godzilla movies! They played one every week around 2pm! I loved that....... Godzilla rules! :P

Late Night Kung-Fu Theater.

Nothing quite as hysterical as the \"Flying guillotine\". Just one of a whole genre of badly dubbed Japanese imports!

Canuck! Canuck! Plan 9 From Outer space was one of the worst films ever made! But the movie about Plan 9 is the only one I like with Johnny Depp. It's also Bill Murray's funniest role, to me. If you haven't seen it please do. It's not a movie that belongs in this thread but if you've seen Plan 9, go rent Ed Wood.

Actually Cuda, I have! They're great ...even if they'er almost identical in story line and gags. I liked the fx in Soccer better, but both are worth the watch.

Animal Crackers 1930

Killer quotes: (from imdb.com for accuracy)
\"One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know.\"

\"You left out a Hoongadoonga. The most important one, too.\"

\"Why, that's bigamy.\"
\"Yes, and it's big of me too.\"

[Ravelli is playing the piano]
Capt. Spaulding: \"When you come near a song, let me know.\"

Agreed, it was a mainstream release. That said, it does have a certain level of intentional cheese-y-ness. :)

-----------

For B-movies, what about some of the Sci-Fi (er, "SyFy") Channel's recent flicks? Horrible effects, bad acting, cheesy plotlines... they have it all! :D For example, I caught "Pterodactyl" a few weeks ago, it was pretty entertaining...
