use a 3D program? Which one do you use? I have been using 3DS Max, Poser, and Bryce.

I primarily use my company's in-house 3D CAD app, Symmetrica, plus industry-specific variations (alarm and sprinkler system design) we build for clients. Oh, and various flavors of AutoCAD.
:P
Nothing for aesthetic design, though.

Though it's very expensive because it's an enterprise-grade software program, I like (but don't use) NX, the CAD software my dad's employer makes. It is very high end and very powerful, yet I haven't worked with a recent version. My dad's employer has many big name customers, namely GM, Nissan, and Caterpillar, among others.

Blender is great, and so is 3D Studio Max. Modeling intimidates me a little so I haven't really gotten into it.

Blender
It even has a sculpting tool. 3dsmax doesn't have that (well its edit poly modifier does have a crappy push pull brush... doesn't count).

I guess Insurrectionist, the question would be: What application will it be needed for?

I'm using Maya these days, but I've used 3DS and Blender in past. Plus a handful of minor applications.

Blender's sculpt tool is pretty much a derivative of Maya's, which is itself an inferior version of ZBrush.

I chuckled at that... kind of funny... keeper

I seem to have a better workout dodging your stupidity than attempting to grasp the weight of your intelligence.

Maybe 2.5 will change this.
