There seems to be many companies that do this. So if I want family and friends to track where I've been, and where I am, what company or program would you recommend?

WHy on earth do you want any one to have that ability? I turn off my gps in my phone but that doesn't stop the US Government.

I don't care if the government tracks and listens to my cell phone. In fact I don't care if anyone does. All the sensitive info I handle is on my computer. And I use Linux not Windows.

It would be a nice feature. My wife and I could see each other's location at a glance, without having to call and ask, "Where are you, babe?".
