Lately I would say that if you identify yourself as a Democrat or a Republican then it explicitly implies you are Not an American. :P

The founding fathers frowned upon organized political parties and these days it is painfully obvious why.

Yep, when the militia goofballs start looking more like the model american than the representatives in Washington you know you've been paddling up that certain creek without the paddle.

note this is in no way an endorsement of the militia goofballs, they are just as whack in their own socially inbred kind of way.

You weren't paying attention in the Texas School Board thread. We are only allowed to vote for the "Constitutional Republic" party. :)

Article 4 Section 4 clearly states:
\"Section 4 - Republican government

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.\"

Corruption of the United States wrote:- Democracy: Ruled by the many, or majority rules and the minority loses. The minority only has privileges, granted to them by the majority.

The founding fathers loathed democracy, calling it "tyranny of the majority."

THIS IS NOT WHAT THE UNITED STATES IS.

- Republic: Based on individual property / rights. You can vote on everything except rights and property, with the property of the minority protected from the majority.

THIS IS WHAT THE UNITED STATES IS: A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. This is the reason why, when people pledge allegiance to the American flag, they say, "...to the Republic, for which it stands...".

The purpose of government is to protect / secure your rights.

We the people grant the government privileges. Power flows from people to the government, not the other way around.
