Cheap Hosting?

Post by STRESSTEST »

I have some freinds that want to build and have hosted a non-profit site. The traffic won't be much at first I imagine, so small packages should be fine.

You guys know of some cheap stuff out there?

I've been looking at Fuitadnet since DCrazy's suggestion about it. Still haven't gotten the gaul to sign up, though, but it looks pretty good.

Same price as above link ($35/year), but you get so much more.

I think Fuitadnet is where ctrlaltdel moved to and its twice as fast as their previous host. Might be a good choice, seems they have some decent price plans.

Heh, I haven't gotten the gaul (nor the cash) to sign up for Fuitadnet yet. :P They're very tempting though...

Yep, a whois on ctrlaltdel-online.com shows Fuitadnet as the nameservers. Absath (Tim Buckley, the comic's creator) has nothing but huge compliments about them.

Fuitadnet hosts Ctrl-Alt-Del and VGCats - two webcomics that get an enormous amount of daily traffic. If Fuitadnet doesn't flinch under them, it's pretty reliable. :)

Every now and then I get the itch to relocate under a paid web host. Although my hosting at Furvect is great for my artwork, the PlanetDescent site has been extremely flaky these past few weeks with noone on the issue.
