Has anyone ever written one? I think it could work well, even if it used some cliches.

In my opinion, in Descent quite scary. But Creepypasta might be a good idea.

Descent 1 until this day still has a nightmarish feel to it. Many had their wits scared out them playing Descent for the first time.

Peter Telep's trilogy of novels had some pretty dark elements to them. They're a fun read too, if you can track them down on Amazon or the like.

I still have all my Peter Tellep copies. I loved all of them. Descent would definitely make good Creepypasta. A malignant and greedy corporation that only wants you to do their dirty work, IN SPACE, squeezed into a tiny ship like a sardine no less, dark tunnels that go on endlessly, robots that only want to megakill you several times over, being marooned on some planetoid or moon with visions of no rescue and a horrible lingering death. What else do you need to scare the bejeezus out of you?

How about things that claw like the Diamond Claw, Old Scratch, Medium Lifter, Cloaked Lifter, Fiddler Spider. The Fiddler from D2 Vertigo makes a creepy sound like die.

All residing in dark, claustrophobic tunnels with only one exit.

I think the indicator and the effects of depressurization of the ship would be a pretty scary addition...
It is desirable with possibility of automatic troubleshooting :)
