Problems with D2x Multiplayer LAN - no player found!

Hi Descenters,
We were not able to run D2x (vers. 0.2.5 - file:d2x-cvs-20031107_mingw.zip) in multiplayer-LAN, we couldn't see the created game to join. We also tried it with UDP/IP and IPX (We are in the same subnet). We tried it with an XP SP1 and a Win2K SP4 machine.

The network is running with no probs of course and the power cable is plugged in (no rookies @ work ;-))

The following parameters we set in the dx2.ini file:
-hogdir D:\Games\Descent2-gl_mipmap
-maxfps 100
-noredbook
-automap_gameres
-noredundancy
-playermessages
-pps 6
-shortpackets
-udp

Could any one help us, who solved this problem or knows a way to solve it? :?: :? :?:

Thank you & Greetz

You have IPX/SPX/NetBIOS installed in your local area connection properties on all the machines trying to play?

Sorry guys, it works :). With the latest version of D2X and Multicast UDP/IP connection it runs as expected.

We tried this latest version with Windows 2000 Server - obviously D2X has some problems with this system. Further tests with 'normal' workstation OS were successfull :D .

So I'm looking forward to a great D2 Session with my friends!

Thanks anyway!
Cheers
