I actually need to build 2 computers...I don't want my GF to pout :)

Budget approx $600.00 apiece, for Case/Mobo/CPU/RAM etc. I plan to use my current video cards (Geforce3 & Geforce FX 5900) for now. Likewise, I won't need hard drives, optical drives etc.

What do YOU guys like? I haven't shopped computer parts for a few months because I was getting depressed.

msi k7 deltas have been out almost a year now and still doing well, add a barton 2500, before week 39 if you find them (plenty of o/cing potential. older kit i know but very functional and the money left over you be able to spend on a quality case, mem and psu which you can swop over to pci-express when it gets fully onto the market and prices fall. and you might even have cash left over to spend on the missus.

You can't go wrong with the Athlon 64 3000+ or
higher and an Asus K8N. Throw in some good OCZ dual channel ram .

2 x these
and
2 x these

600 spent and nice 90 nanometer retail severely OCable rigs

The rest will fall into place.

you will not be disappointed with the 939 socket... it will leave room for u to upgrade in the future and the msi neo platinum is a excellent choice.
