D1X Radar?

when i was playing D1X once i saw a Freespace style radar in the upper left showing what appeared to be enemies, powerups, and eventually the reactor...can anyone explain what this is and how to turn it on?

I believe it's in D1x options and must also be enabled by the game host. It has been a long time since I've used the radar
