Warning: Work in Progress!

Here are a few screenshots from one of my latest works, Ring Of Fire. I plan to script some firey fun into this level somewhere Image

It's still in it's early phases, not much has been joined together - however I have created several separate rooms already.

What you see below was only 1 hours (drunken) work, so if its rubbish don't kill me Image

Opinions? Ideas?

Swell, but looks like a Single Player environment, IMHO.

Chants :

*Single Player *

*Single Player *

Looks great, except everything seems to mesh into everything else... the edges of the supports, etc., need to be more defined.

Definately looks SP - lot of faces in there.

Yeah, it looks like that would make a good SP level. Besides, there aren't very many single player levels around anymore, and it would be nice to see a new one.

there's a good overall design on that tunnel, but it is a bit too dark. Hard to see much of the detail. Try brightening it up a bit.

Seems everybody is thinking the same thing Image

D3 screenshots come out dark. Those images had to be brightened up, and aren't the same brightness as the actual level. Image

By the way, if I was to create an SP level, what type would you like to see? Descent1/2 style with keys? Or an objective based level?

My rulebook states: Maintain a certain amount of variation while staying true to the classic style. So - a little of both.

Yep, I can work with that.

Also, did I mention that even though this level only contains 3 attached rooms right now, it already has 1500 faces? And thats optimised. Image

Dude, if you want a boss robot for it or you want to use my Firehawk ship, e-mail me Image I'm working on a really nasty but smallish boss robot. Image It should be about 2500 or more polys when I'm done with full animations on it too Image If you want more details or you wanna use it, e-mail me Image

Looks a bit repetitive, and the blue lights cast an ugly greenish hue on the walls in the top picture. Wouldn't recommend using blue in that scenario. Maybe don't place the blue lights in the same recessed pit as the other lights?

Second picture - a bit dark and the >>>>> construction stripes seem overbright due to that blue light. You might want to try for better contrast here.

I think I've been staring at UnrealEd and its extremely flexible, arbitrarily-placed vertex lighting effects for too long. Image

Same here. I'd keep it dark and spooky like you have it. Image
