No tree up this year, instead we get 2 really small ones to put next to the fireplace. First time this year we didnt put it up, mostly because we dont have the time and its a pain in the ass since its so big. Its fake so you have to unbend every damn branch from the box which is pretty right. Its an all day project, unfolding the branches alone takes 4 hours.

My cats sleep on the branches so I haven't had a xmas tree in about 10 years. My dog would probably eat it.

I have a minature fir tree about 1 metre tall, in a pot. I use it each year. It just has 250 tiny coloured bulbs which I hide inside it - so the wires aren't visible. It looks good.

No stupid decorations. No angels. No star. Just a tree. It smells good.

Apparently, our family is finally getting a digital camera this Christmas, so if I figure out how to work the damn thing before the tree comes down, I'll be sure to get a shot of it. Several different types of lights, wooden beads, lotsa tinsel, hundreds of ornaments, a miniature train display...nothing like a good tree. :D

"Har har he he" :P You should have seen how many presents we had under it. They filled all the space under the tree for about a meter from the center and they had to be placed on all the surrounding chairs, too.

My parents got me a nice laptop, on which I'm actually making this post :)

Our tree:

Image

Actually it's our first own Christmas tree ever. We got it for our son, because we want him to experience Christmas as Christmas-like as can be. ;)

No tinsel, no fancy tip, because my wife and I hate kitsch. Straw ornaments and silver and titanium finish glass balls.

Our son got a few presents. My wife's and my 'present' didn't fit under the tree - the tree fits in the present (new house). :)

When we were putting up the glass balls, our son got hold of a box full of them and broke 70% of the box's content. My wife had to go and get new ones only a few hours before shops closed. D'uh. I wasn't exactly amused, but she got what we needed. :)

Looks a bit like gold doesn't suit that room.

No, apart from the furniture, our entire living room (and most of our apartment) is in monochrome colors (black, white, tones of gray, silver). In reality, the straw ornaments don't look very much golden (they're not colored, but have the natural straw tone).
