Kind of... They re-applied for the Trademark status so they are able to use the Descent name. As for the copyright, I believe that goes to the original creator. So that is the part others here have referred to as rights held by Mike and Matt.

That page is just for Descent 4 and that was only a mod. But I did add it to external links on the Descent wiki a year ago I believe.

I just got done rephrasing it, too. It was pretty much stating that Descent 4 was under current development while Interplay's Quarterly Report clearly says that it was going to work on the sequels ...

Well, I didn't get to make it to the game night everyone. My joystick broke down on me when I was playing earlier yesterday on that level. Basically, I can't stop spinning right. Too bad I didn't get in on the fun. ;)

But you know how the setup is now. It doesn't matter since we don't have PXO. So getting kicked out each time is just speeding up the process and it doesn't effect the other people.

I guess one of the first things we're going to do, if we get the source code, is change the terms "kills" and "deaths" to "neutralizations" and "destructions." :P

Yes, once you leave the level it will crash D3. I don't think it does it 100% of the time if you have mercenaries installed, but I'm not sure on that; I've had a couple of reports of crashing from some people that have merc.

Guess that explains it for me. I'm a proud owner of Merc, so I guess ...

It would be ludicrous to alienate people when it could be simply avoided, without ruining the game's *FUN*. I for one don't think shouting obscenities at people is fun, online or otherwise.

So Bettina, I don't think you're wrong for asking them to not use those taunts, any more than I think you ...

Yes, I'm setting another one up. Just a while ago, I released a level called Stadium Night (stadiumrm.mn3) and it finally made it on Planet Descent.

Now, Stadium Night is just Stadium with different lighting and "Twilight" ships. If you haven't seen the level Twilight I released, there were ships ...

I just tested it on my LAN through a dedicated server, I didn't receive any trouble using the BP. The only thing I've heard about is an error when they leave using the BP.
