I want to try that. Sounds fun

The real world has become so silly we have little hope to compete.

I had that exact little mermaid one and a few others in the early 90s. Played the hell out of them as a kid wishing my parents would get me real gameboy.

I've uninstalled all games to focus on my personal projects, I'm so good at procrastinating. Honestly, I'm pretty addicted to POE, which is like Diablo only you can be more creative with your build. It's just like Diablo in the way where you're mowing down monsters. But I don't have it installed ...

LINUX-GRAPHITE OS is super secure, but only runs on Pixel phones.

Damn. You mean there's a Pixel phone that runs Linux, not Android?

Android runs the linux kernel, so it is linux! You can access this terminal with adb via android-tools. Since Android is linux there are tons of variants of ...

OK, I can get it to boot into Ventoy. But I need to run the flash.nsh file from the BIOS file and Ventoy only offers up 5 .efi files to run on it's main screen. Any suggestions since I've never used Ventoy?

This sounds like an issue with the image you're trying to boot. What distro is are you ...

I just installed CachyOS with KDE Plasma for the first time today, and the first thing I noticed is how much quicker my computer is moving compared to Kubuntu.

Awesome! I'm on something similar: Endeavour OS, which also uses aur, and I selected KDE as well.

It would be sad if this site disappeared. I can appreciate how unsocial it is in a time when social media seems to be consuming my time.

Just chiming in to say it's gotten worse. Apparently you need to sign into your online account to have terminal access and M$ has the ability to give law enforcement your disk's encryption key (like how...?).

So what will it look like when M$ bails on copilot? When the fire the CEO or when windows 12 launches as a normal OS?

I saw this and thought it's like the marketing guys said "we need windows 11 to be the hype train OS. I thought my work-issued iphone was glitching when tried to copy and paste. Apparently you click to pull up the copy/paste/select menu in a textbox... And it goes to longpress if it's regular text. That's so bad. Android does this way better.

TC, if I could say one more thing about temporarily trying KDE, which Kubuntu uses: Tiling windows that supports edge dragging, so you can adjust all the tile sizes with one mouse drag. (No the mouse is not in drag)

Maybe it's hit or miss with certain hardware? I guess TC won't know until she tries.

How about Bazzite?

Bazzite Fedora-based, which is very popular and supported, but it's not as supported as a Debian or Arch based distros. Debian has a lot off official support and Arch has a lot of "we forced it to work... it's in the aur repo" support.

Given what TigerRaptor has said, I'll ...

Oh that's not too bad at all. You should give a distro a try that uses a KDE desktop. It's going to look so pretty and I think it's faster than Gnome3 these days. It's probably for the best as there's no FOSS model on the same level for making video as Sora 2 or VEO 2. But that might change with new versions of wan coming out.

Not all usb image writers are the same or use the same process, so it might be worth trying a different one to see if it's better. Unetbootin is kind of a simple dd script with a gui, but its simplicity might be why it works better for you than a more advanced image writer.
